Jason will be returning to Australia for six months, at the beginning of August. Jason will be caring for his Mother, at a difficult time. He will also be working for the duration, to secure our base in Spain for the long term. It will be particularly difficult for us as a couple, as we have spent very little time living apart, during our 21 years together. We both have accepted, however, that Jason's Mother's needs him more right now. Other people, who live in our community, have similar arrangements, so they can enjoy a life in Spain for six months and work abroad for the rest of each year. Jamie will be staying here with me, forging our new lives. Jason will be back in March. I will keep you updated on his progress through my new Spanish blog, accessed below!
Everything is going well for myself and Jason in our new home. We have settled in nicely, finally enjoying our life, without the constraints of the past. Much of what happened to me in Southampton is finally becoming a distant memory, as I continue to recover from my worst year. All of the awful people that so damaged me, no longer have influence over the path I take. Officially measures are being put into place, to deal with what happened to me and others. Eventually, one day, these people, who caused so much pain to others will be bought to justice. Until then, here are a few photo's as we continue to rebuild our life, far away from those that seek to take it! ![]() On the day I heard of the death of 'Prince', on the Birthday of our Queen, Elizabeth II, on the day, I finally received my legal status here in Spain, I also heard, that finally, we could close the last chapter of our life in The UK. All ties with our life in Britain, are now cut, paperwork signed and myself and my partner are free of the noose that hung around our neck for so long. These have been dramatic months in our life indeed and the sense of relief we both now feel, is unmeasurable. Over a year after 'the truth', about what we had suffered, for so long, came out, we can now finally lay to rest this dreadful period and move forwards, knowing that the characters, who were there for the final act, are gone forever. That was the news we had waited for, the information, that concluded five years of sheer hell. A happy day indeed, the day we at last, became Spanish and not the victims of a person who deserves nothing but our contempt. We will forever celebrate 21 April, as a day of freedom, freedom from the chains that bound us for so long, delivery from profligacy and salvation from unscrupulousness! Thank you to everyone, who supported us through this difficult year. To all of you, wherever we are in the World, you will be forever in our thoughts and in our hearts!
